'08 PRESIDENTIAL PREDICTIONS

Well '08 is right around the corner and The Republicans are still scrambling to get a viable candidate to oppose Hillary or Obama Democrat Frontrunners.

This Current Administration has left many DAZED and CONFUSED not to mention PARANOID. JOB WELL DONE BUSH, you sure managed to get everyone CONFUSED about at least one thing since you took office. Am against Bush? Do I follow the Democrats? I'm an educated person who researches to PROS and CONS about the issues that have the most impact on US the everyday citizen. And the following are some of the most impacting issues thus far:

1. Price of Gas: which means everything from food and medication being delivered via anything running on fuel has skyrocketed. I THOUGHT PRICE GAUGING WAS ILLEGAL?

2. IRAQ INVASION: The U.S. spending A CAGILLIONS DOLLARS on well we still havent figured out that one. MISLEADING LIES LIES LIES

3. WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION: NOW that whole b.s. line was as confusing as it was misleading. VERY VERY CONFUSING

4. OH AND WHO CAN FORGET THE WHOLE OSAMA HIDE AND SEEK FIASCO: Osama must be the KING of HIDE AND SEEK. CONFUSING TO SAY THE LEAST.

NOW ARE THINGS GOING TO GET BETTER IN '08?
If a Democrat wins, the outcome may alarm some of those Yellow Dog Democrats, now I am not siding with either side as of yet. But lets learn something here from our past administration: They LIE when NEEDED, They fabricate ways to go to WAR or INVADE other Countries, and MOST OF ALL they SPY on its very own CITIZENS. And not to mention the PRESIDENTIAL POWERS have GROWN ASTOUNDINGLY.

Hillary winning the Presidency? WELL YOU CAN FORGET THE GAS PRICE GAUGING CRISIS, WE ARE GOING TO RE-LIVE THE HEALTHCARE INSURANCE CRISIS ALL OVER AGAIN.

THATS RIGHT, HEALTHCARE IS A CREEPIER SUBJECT than most would like to admit, but HEALTH INSURANCE is going to be the NEW OIL CRUNCH. THE INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE ALREADY DROOLING AT THE MOUTH. GET READY AND PREPARE FOR THE HEALTCARE COVERAGE GAUGING ERA UNDER HILLARY.

NOW IF OBAMA WINS, WELL WHO KNOWS, HIS LEGISLATION CAREER WELL IF THATS WHAT YOU WANNA CALL IT, FEELS MORE LIKE A STINT. HE'S A FRESHMAN SENATOR, ITS LIKE HAVING A FRESHMAN CROWNED KING OF HIS HIGHSCHOOL, HAS THAT EVER HAPPEND? DON'T KNOW, IM JUST SAYING. OBAMA HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD OF HIM, I JUST DONT SEE HIM WINNING THE MOST COVETED OFFICE IN THE NATION JUST YET. HE WILL BE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH POLITICALLY IN THE FUTURE AND THAT IS WHAT I THINK WAS HIS INITIAL PLAN. DOES HE CONTROL THE BLACK VOTE? I DONT THINK SO, HE CONTROLS A MORE BROAD TYPE OF VOTE OF YOUNG UP AND COMING PROFESSIONAL INTELLECTUALS THAT YEARN FOR A CHANGE IN THE OLD 2 PARTY SYSTEM. OBAMA HAS AN INTELLECTUAL FOLLOWING THAT WILL ONE DAY EVOLVE THE POLITICAL WORLD IN OUR COUNTRY, BUT IT SEEMS THAT OLD SCHOOL IS NOT READY FOR THAT CHANGE JUST YET.

GLOBAL WARNING: BIG BUSINESS (ie Movie by Al Gore) BIG SCARE to us all of course. GREEN IS IN RIGHT? WHATEVER! People are still buying big SUVs as if they were on a mission to get into some type of auto wreck head on derby style. WILL THIS ISSUE REMAIN AS POPULAR AS IT IS TODAY? WILL AUTOMAKERS DO AWAY WITH FUEL CONSUMING VEHICLES? NO, because they SELL!!

DO YOU KNOW WHY MOST PEOPLE CAN CARE LESS ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING? Because they feel their years are almost up, thats right, the baby boomers are in there 60s and they can care less whats coming up in 10 to 20 years. OR THE WHOLE CHRISTIAN RIGHT COALITION that BELIEVE IN THE RAPTURE feel that the END IS NEAR can also care less about GLOBAL WARMING. Now do the aforementioned people have a right to feel that way, you bet, do I feel that way? No Sir, but the aforementioned people are those who are in power at this point.

Again that is my take on the whole PRESIDENTIAL PREDICTIONS in '08 along with ISSUES of the old and new to come.

I have some advice for enews, how about changing there name and dropping the name Edinburg. Here are a few ideas maybe they might wanna give a thought to:

1. Al Whata News (off with the heads of the Opposition or infidels!)

2. Not Necessarily the News

3. Enews (short for EXAGERATED NEWS)

4. the DRAMA BLOG (DB for short)

5. Unemployed News

6. Useless News

Well whatever name you'd like to use just do the Citizens of Edinburg a favor at least this one time and quit using the name "Edinburg" or "E" as in Entertainment News, C'mon with all of you guys pulling together to come up with such HOT IDEAS, INSULTING COMMENTS, TRASH BASHING, AND MISLEADING BLOGGING, the least you can do is BE ORIGINAL. Let the Politicians, Public Figures and most of all the CITIZENS of Edinburg rest already. WE ARE TIRED OF YOUR ONE SIDED ARGUMENTATIVE SMUT WRITING. If you guys were half the blog sight you claim to be then people would find some type of use for your work, but your work helps nobody. You lie, mislead and misrepresent.
You bicker about:

Our County Judge: we think he's doing a fine job.

Our Council: well certain council members past and present, Edinburg is still getting it done. Mr.Espinoza comes on here to defend the council whether we agree or not, so my hat off to that man for him having a pair to do so. No Insult intended there.

Our Police Station: its coming around and its a greater looking building than the previous one.

Our City Hall, Damn that thing is looking awesome.

Our School Board, well at least some members, but hey the district is looking good and last i checked all schools look to be doing well.

Our Cats Stadium, be safe and take your time, better to be safe than sorry. Its coming out pretty good last i drove by.

Our Athletic Director, Mr.Alaniz, that guy is Edinburg Football, a big giant welcome back to him.

Our Edinburg Dustin Sekula Memorial Library is an awesome place, Thank you to the people and Council.

New Mall being built on Trenton is coming around looking great, another big thanks to the powers that be and Citizens of Edinburg.

Those are just a few to mention, but Edinburg is doing fine and I think its about time we give some thanks to some of these people making it happen, some of these elected positions are a THANKLESS JOB, and its easy to bitch about this or that and voice such opinions, but I think we can do so without the IGNORANT RANTING and HATEFUL CAMPAINING. If We at the Politica Ring feel for or against something, YEAH we are gonna address it and ADVOCATE OUR COMMUNITY'S CITIZENS FOR A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE. NOW will there be DRAMA and INFIGHTING among the Powers that be, Im sure, but like I said we can protest or opinionate like people rather than savage animals.

Heres my advice:
We can help CREATE something with an exchange of ideas.
Man has always had the power to destroy quicker than building.

There is plenty to be thankful for in our city! Because of the actions of past and present council we have hit some milestones here. Lead valley in unemployment, double digit sales tax increase, building permits are up, billion dollar deposit mark, airport is about to take off, population increase etc. We are in the right direction at the right time!

Went out this morning during our storms. Canton and Sugar was not gushing! I have checked on it the last three times it rained, looked OK. Our east side did take in a lot of water. Talked to our Public Works director, come to find out that TXDOT has not completed their connection to ours along expressway. We are going to take care of this on Monday. There was 3 to 4 inches that fell in Edinburg this AM. Just thought I would let you all know that I was out checking it out.

Mr.Espinoza,
Correction, Canton and Sugar is gushing as of 7pm Sat.Night, and it has about #15 cones around the south bound part of sugar from the intersection light.

We will be needing some much needed Mosquito Spraying due to all the trapped waters from the rain in and around the construction sites.
