I have heard that the FBI has Saenz on tape doing some under the table dealings with government officials in PSJA and Elsa. Another public official to bring the Valley down once again?

LETS GET ONE THING STRAIGHT ON THIS BLOG:

The FBI is One agency that is pretty much hush hush about everything every time they have someone under investigation. So for any average Joe trying to come on here and NAME DROP the very acronym of FBI or the words Indictment or Investigation is flat out B.S.

If you aint the FBI, then there is no room for such false accusations, rumors, or the whole "guess what I heard over at my compadre's house or at the beauty salon that so and so is under investigation from the FBI."
Some people are funny that way, they think just by associating a CHISME with A CANDIDATE, and THEN adding THE NAME OF FBI OR INVESTIGATION, all of a sudden that Candidate's Campaign Hopes will come to a skreetching halt.

THE FBI is a name people always want to associate with FACTS and well that is true, but we have a JUSTICE SYSTEM in this COUNTRY that has to CONVICT ANYONE BEING INVESTIGATED TOO. So an Investigation by any law enforcement entity can prove to be detrimental to someone's life, career let alone political aspirations.

FBI is a name and agency not to be taken lightly or in hearsay on a blog or papers unless those under investigation have in fact been confirmed by the very agency some people seem to be naming constantly on blogs just to carry someone's name through the mud because they have suspicion about a candidate's personal or professional life.

Heres My Advice on dropping names associated with an FBI or any law enforcement investigation:

Lets Get over it and let the authorities do there job if in fact there is an investigation by a law enforcement entity, because believe me when I tell you that the news agencies, papers and people will get there fair share of the story if it proves to be TRUE.

But until then lets leave the rumor mongering and name dropping of law enforcement entities OUT. Let those who are in the business of investigations, enforcing laws, prosecuting or defending such cases do there job.

Mr.Pena and Mr.Saenz are gonna run into there fair share of rumor and speculations, due to the nature of the political business, it leaves you at the mercy of the people's perception.

Politicians are like the weather, we are never quite satisfied with them and when we are, the climate of approval changes within minutes, so be what it may, that is the life they chose and for that, I commend them for it. Again Good Luck to these Candidates and all We here at The Political Ring ask is that they do FOR THE PEOPLE THE BEST THEY POSSIBLY CAN, and we shall agree to disagree now and in the future. Avoid Complacency at all costs. And Always Advocate the People.

SAENZ:
CLEAN AIR SHOULD BE A FAMILY VALUE
IN SOUTH TEXAS, TOO
Texas House Challenger Says Incumbent's Poor Environmental Record Endangers Family Health, Local Economy

(EDINBURG) -- Democratic state representative challenger Eddie Saenz today said that he will support legislation and efforts to clean up toxic pollution on public school buses that puts children at risk of asthma and other debilitating illnesses caused by exposure to dangerous chemicals and emissions.

"Clean air should be a family value in South Texas, too," Saenz said.

Saenz said that efforts to adequately fund the clean-up of emissions inside old diesel school buses failed to pass during the legislative session earlier this year, even though House District 40 taxpayers contribute to the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP) that would have paid for the project.

Saenz's opponent voted against the clean up and was named the worst Democratic member of the House on environmental issues according to a report last week by the watchdog group, Environmental Texas.

"While other states are acting to protect their children from toxic pollution levels inside the school buses they ride every day, some Texas politicians are ignoring the problem," Saenz said. "My opponent's vote against cleaning up school buses is another example of the cost of betrayal. If voters send me to Austin, I will be one of the votes that has been missing to make sure we stand behind our children's health instead of the status quo."

Saenz said local taxpayers contribute money to the TERP fund through a $20 fee any time they purchase or transfer the title on a vehicle but see little return for their dollars when it comes to fighting pollution in South Texas. State leaders in Austin use the vast majority of TERP funds to reduce emissions in urban areas of the state like Dallas and Houston.

In addition, Saenz called for more aggressive environmental protection at the state level to protect area parks and recreation facilities, saying that ecotourism is now a vital component of the South Texas economy.

"Tourists spend millions each year for the chance to see our unique natural heritage -- and create jobs in the bargain," Saenz said. "Making our air cleaner and increasing the number of protected acres in the Rio Grande Valley is good for business and good for the environment."

Owner and chief executive officer of one of South Texas' leading civil engineering firms, Saenz is a recognized expert in helping cities, school districts, and other public entities improve their operations and basic services.

As chairman of the Board of Governors of the Edinburg Regional Medical Center and Edinburg Children's Hospital, an award-winning network of acute-care hospitals specializing in children's care and cardiovascular health, Saenz has been active in addressing local health challenges. He also served as chairman of Avance, a non-profit organization whose focus is to strengthen families. Avance helped initiate the CHIP enrollment process in the valley.

Saenz is a former chairman of the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Border Infrastructure Coalition Transportation Committee, and the Edinburg 2020 Action Committee. A graduate of McAllen High, he earned his degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. He and his wife and child live in Edinburg.
