ADVERSITY?
LEADERSHIP IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY?
A MESSAGE TO THE COMMUNITY
by the EDDIE SAENZ for District 40 or enews?
Well we read the letter on enews' blog and well we started thinking about the title. And disected the whole thing and these are the choice of words that were chosen to describe the state of the campaign at the Saenz camp or at enews. By the way, we didn't bother giving the definition of LEADERSHIP, because as you guys may already know, Mr.Saenz isn't IN OFFICE. So read and enjoy:
Adversity- A condition of misfortune, poverty or difficulty
Misfortune - 1. unnecessary and unforeseen trouble resulting from an unfortunate event
2. an unfortunate state resulting from unfavorable outcomes.
2. an unfortunate state resulting from unfavorable outcomes.
Poverty- having little money or few possessions.
Difficulty- trouble: an effort that is inconvenient.
Do any of the aforementioned words APPLY to Mr.Saenz? It was an ALLEGED DWI! Wheres the ADVERSITY in that? One chooses to drink, then one chooses to drive, then one chooses to lie about it. I see no adversity nor leadership. I seriously think that this letter needs to be re-addressed.

BINGO!!!
Personal responsibility Mr. Saenz. The poor street cop was left holding the bag for your cover up. Your the one that asked for special favors. Hell your people were openly bragging that they had it covered up. Now you hide behind your expensive Austin consultants. Were are you? Didn't you promise us an explanation?
All we have heard is excuses and blame towards others. First the poor cop, then it was Kino and now its your dads illness. We know the fix is in. We know with your big money you will get off. But you will hear what we think about it loud and clear. Bring trust back to the office my ass!!!
is this guy still in the race. what a dumb ass. the guy isnt thinking straight and he aint no leader.
So this guy was allowed to turn himself in 4 business days later? Isnt this the same guy who gave thousands of dollars to an indicted Republican Senator? Eddie Saenz seems a little shady to me to be my State Representative. I hope the Monitor finds out who let him out on a Friday night,Saturday morning only to come back 6 days later. Some heads are going to roll on this one.
Hah, he caused this adversity on himself. I think the guy is missing a couple of screws. Who in their right mind supports this guy? Can you name anybody thats not on his payroll?
Can he buy that many votes that he thinks he can actually win?
Look at the people supporting him in Elsa and Edcouch they are the people of jailbird Aaron Gonzalez.
Saenz has accomplices in his DWI COVER UP, Mission Mayor, County commissioner in the Mission area and hidalgo county sheriff. People need to research this cover up, it's getting way out of hand already.
Did you read his joke of an ad in the Monitor. This guy is a joke. Come on, you got drunk, your not a hero.
someone print the ad in the newspaper or write it on earn my vote i got to see this one
A Message To The Community
Dear Friend,
I have always wanted to make this community a better place to live. Aside from the time spent with my family business, my energy has been devoted to volunteer efforts and paricipation in organizations that have the same goal - making a positive difference in our neighbor's lives. (and my pocketbook)
(Excuse me as I brag about myself, why not!) As chairman of the Edinburg Regional Medical Center's governing board and past chairman of Avance, the non-profit group that helped impiment the Children's Health Insurance Program, I have worked to make our community healthier. As past chairman of the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Border Infrastructure Coalition's transportation task force, and the Edinburg 2020 Action Committee, I have tried to make our community more prosperous.
My candidacy for the Texas House, District 40, is part of this continuum of public service. The challenges we face as a communityare great: creating new jobs, providing good health care benefits, and strengthing our democratic values. As an engineer, I know how important it is to seize the initiative, to reach out and shape a better future. If we work together, we can get the job done. That's why I decided to make this race. (look I got to have an excuse and this is as good as my consultants could come up with.)
The past two weeks have been an emotional time for my family and me. (I really screwed up big time but I need you to start feeling sorry for me.) I am deeply grateful for the many phone calls and prayers I have recieved from loved ones, friends, supporters, business clients, and countless individuals I have never met. (Forgive for the deep bullshit.) They remind me that my efforts to make a positive difference over the past 47 years have not gone unnoticed - and should not be dismissed because of a single incident that has not even been finalized yet. (Pay no attention to my deep screw-up, pay attention to my bullshit.)
I especially appreciate the best wishes that have poured in for my father, who is battling a serious illness. Much of my time these past two weeks has been spent helping him address his health needs (no I was not in hiding) and his personal courage has reminded me once again that leadership in the face of adversity is the truest kind. (look at me I'm a hero!)
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to express your strong support and your willingness to wait until all the facts are in. ( Never mind that I won't tell you what those facts are, because they are not flattering.)
God Bless,
Eddie Saenz
