Veronica Gonzales voted for him too. All the Reps. from the Valley voted for him. In fact they did so for the last 3 sessions. Why? Because he was the only one running when the vote took place. Let's not fall into the E-News trap.

4:04 PM,
Yes that is TRUE about Rep Veronica Gonzalez. And Yes that is true Craddick was running unopposed at the time. But when the fiction is more popular than the facts, you PRINT THE FICTION THAT SELLS MORE COPIES.

I know the Facts behind the voting at the Capitol, its just that I am not trying to endorse anyone publicly. So that being, said we here at The Political Ring are just showing both Candidates have in the past had ties to the so called BIG BAD REPUBLICANS and that those shouldn't be the issues to base your vote on. Clearly the both candidates for District 40 are entitled to there fair share of lapse in judgement or like I mentioned in previous posts, Most Politicians have to excercise a certain FLEXIBILITY in either it be morals, principles, voting or associating with the opposing party. CLEARLY if you view the videos, you'll witness for yourself what the whole hoopla is all about in a brief 2 minute clip right? Sure, as if thats gonna be it, I seriously doubt that. So each campaign is going to beat these two issues to a bloody pulp. The people's perception will vary from time to time, but as far as understanding what occured on each candidates' involvement with REPUBLICANS, arent just the FACTS, but WHAT IS PERCIEVED BY THE CITIZENS of DISTRICT 40.

What, only one person was running each time WTF. Saenz' blog has been waisting our time with the BS. I am so disgusted with Saenz' tactics. To pay a blog to destroy a man AND his family, that is disgusting!

Hey Ring Master can you check to see how Saenz screwed up with his blog Edinburg News. I think its screwed up that this blog trashes every enemy of Saenz, then dumps Saenz it looks like after he didn't pay them. Endorses the rep then dumps on the rep after Saenz pays him again. This is a new kind of dirty politics. How can this guy expect to win if we all know how dirty he is. Can he buy that many votes to have a chance.

Does Saenz really think that a Democrat will be elected speaker in a Republican majority? So, what will he do when only a Republican is running again? Tick one of the most powerful men in Austin off by not voting for him? I'm sure the speaker will reward him for that.

Then there is the Republican Lt. Governor and Republican Governor. But of course, Saenz would change all that by being elected, right? He thinks we're stupid.

Which Democrat would have been the right choice:
Will Hartnett, (R-Dallas), HD 114.
Lois W. Kolkhorst (R-Brenham), HD 13.
Brian McCall, (R-Plano), HD 66:
Charlie Geren (R-Fort Worth), HD 99:
Tommy Merritt (R-Longview), HD 7:
Tom Craddick (R-Midland)

Wait a minute....did I miss someone?

cassandra,

enews is not a political tool hired by Mr.Saenz. enews is a PROPAGANDA tool for those that they favor or gain interest from them winning elections. For Example, McDonalds may be a popular restaurant to some and many may hate such a place, but the Clown Ronald Mcdonald has a following consisting of kids that enjoy getting a happy meal with a toy. Well, who do you think enjoys reading enews? only their following, because they enjoy the propaganda they themselves put out.

Now as far as whos paying them, well they shoot themselves on the foot every time the trash opposing candidates. So take your pick as to who actually hires them. Theres a difference between MERCENARIES and SOLDIERS, Mercenaries serve the HIGHEST BIDDER, while SOLDIERS serve their people and country. BIG DIFFERENCE!

enews is just hired propaganda with no clue as to what is fact or false. Facts incriminate at times and facts tend to tie a whole bunch of people together, now if a blog is going to come out here and claim to have facts for the citizens well then lets hear ALL THE FACTS ABOUT EVERY CANDIDATE WHILE YOU'RE ON THE SUBJECT. And that will never happen.

enews answers to people, and who they are is probably getting easier to figure out. Damn, many people already know who they are. I know who they are and believe me they're no big deal. They're just as clueless about the facts on POLITICS as are the same kids that like McDonalds. But they get fed a couple of tidbit distorted facts by those they're hired by.

Heres my take on this:
If an Outlaw back in the wild west had a reporter friend acompany him on all his crime sprees, how do you think that outlaw would of been portrayed in the reporter's papers? Think about it, could the reporter hide the identity of such an outlaw? maybe even giving the outlaw a fictitous name? or maybe even mislead the readers into believing someone other than the reporter's outlaw friend in fact committed such crimes? when you figure the aforementioned out, then you're perception will be clear as to what enews is all about.

dac,
ha! good point on which candidates were up for the post. But thats rarely the case down here in Democrat-ville. We love to BLAME the BIG BAD GRINGO REPUBLICANS for taking all our taxes, jobs, and well anything else you can think of.

Those same people talk about how EVERYONE HERE IS SUPPOSE TO BE DEMOCRAT and well some people down here actually have done very well for themselves. We have millionaires living among us and they sure love to vote. Children, undocumented citizens, and those not caring about the politics choose to stay home on election day and that really doesnt sit well with the candidates. So I repeat:
REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT really doesn't matter when you're a Rich person right? Affluent rich people vote with there money, interest and feet. They tend to thow money at candidates they either control, share the same interest or if neither apply the move with there feet outta that district to relocate somewhere more inticing to there way of living and politics. Business people which what Pena And Saenz are usually give contributions to both candidates seeking office regardless of party, because that is the norm among business people, they love to secure their odds of having a candidate open to there needs if elected. People of wealth and power hang around together regardless of political party lines. The norm in political races is that the incumbant usually recieves 15-25% more in contributions from the same donor who contributes to both candidates. Why people are being so ill informed as to who is republican or who is democrat is a beyond me. Regardless of political label the same people in power here in the valley will remain in power due to business and wealth not political party afiliation. Cantu Construction built most of McAllen, did that business slow down because he openly supported the Democrat Party? Gee, why didn't he suffer political set backs or having all his money taken by the GREEDY REPUBLICANS, He in fact got better tax breaks and business incentives from such party, then why doesnt he support the very party that gave him that? WHO KNOWS, Maybe because that same man owns hospitals that the Democrat social programs (ie Medicaid Medicare) pay large sums of money to his Healthcare business. DO YOU SEE WHERE IM GETTING AT HERE WITH THE EXAMPLES, IT REALLY DOESNT MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHICH PARTY IS IN POWER, MR.CANTU WILL STILL BE IN POWER HERE IN THE VALLEY BECAUSE HE BENEFITS FROM EITHER POLITICAL PARTY. The Valley does not reflect State or National Trends. We are the Country between The U.S. and Mexico with our very own Political Climate. OUR BORDER is a 3 hour long trip between us and San Antonio. PRI, PAN, REPUBLICAN, or DEMOCRAT really dont make much of a difference here, we should concentrate on our very own backyard Council, School Boards, and County Govt. The corruption at that level is what haunts us the taxpayer rather than some House Speaker or V.P. PEOPLE shouldn't fear the REPUBLICAN or DEMOCRAT, they should fear ol SMOOTH TALKER getting our tax dollar by raising school taxes, property values, city taxes, or county taxes. Those are the ones to keep an eye on. Raza once witnessed how the White man prospered financially through politics and they hated it, now that Raza is in power, they have become the very same people they once complained about. FINANCIAL GAIN THROUGH POLITICS! Monkey see Monkey do very well for themselves too.

Renasaince does not like medicaide(ER has signs everywhere) the facility was built for private pay and private insurance. The trend in this that started as an outpatient client was to get the top payers from the hospitals.

Nevertheless, Government subsidized Community still benefits greatly from the Democrat Social Programs, Look around here, we have about 10 Hospitals in just 2 cities. Medicare does pick up the tab on some of these private insurance or private pays as a second insurance.
