POLITICAL VULTURES IN A FEEDING FRENZY!!

Political Season usually brings out the Political Vultures which love to poke there beaks into just about any Political Carcass remotely showing any sign of life or they simply wait for something thats dead and dive into it regardless of how long its been dead. Case and point, enews, they seem to circle over a selected few and keep nawing at it with beak and tallons trying to pry flesh and blood regardless of how dead the carcass (ie issues are). This is how they survive one must assume right? Well its the obvious answer at this point isn't it? I mean who else takes up so much time trying to rape a candidate of any valid accolades just to try to survive? That is exactly what vultures do, they're scavengers looking for carcasses with no life. They prey on the dead, how macaub you say? Exactly my notion, regardless of how morbid this practice is, the goons over at the enews' nest consider this sort of scavenger tactic real work. Well bravo for them, they have learned to survive on scavenging off DEAD things. I guess that explains their choice in issues. It's been months already and nothing new is coming about on there webpage, its the same ol, "THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING, LETS GO TELL THE KING, their king being, let me guess Eddie Saenz. How insulting it must feel when people are denying one's accusations based on the source it came from. Many of us on these blogs know thing is growing and that is the resentment towards enews' cowardly unjust scavenger tactics resorting to unsupported accusations without proof, instead it is based on hear say. And all their hear say is based on dead issues.

You have to wonder about the motivation behind some blogs. To be vicious to such a degree there have to be one of two motivations. The first possible motivation is that said bloggers are paid to be a thorn in the side of the opposition. The other possibility is that the writers have cause for deep personal resentment and do it for free.

I seriously doubt that it is any love of the Democratic party that motivates such individuals. Of what benefit is it to the party to be so divided?

Since there is that schizm, it stands to reason that it is merely a war amongst, not between, factions (there are more than two). They are not fighting for a piece of the pie, they want the whole damn pie. To do this, they must crush anybody who is not on their team. They are attempting to systematically place their pawns in different positions to get a bigger and bigger portion of the pie until they have it all.

Sadly, it never occurs to them that if they simply cooperate with other factions who have slices of the pie, they can make the entire pie bigger, making their individual slices bigger in the process. If it's not one faction, it's another, or yet another.

Some offices are simply key positions that factions need in order to own the entire game board. It is for these positions that they need to fight tooth and nail. Try to think about what big projects in the RGV would be worth pulling out all stops? What do certain groups stand to gain by winning key positions?

E-News has shown that Aaron Pena was a co author of his own retirement. They have shown how Aaron Pena has lied and continues to lie. To me this is a different side we are seeing of AAron Pena. And look how he is reacting to all of this. So give them hell E-News. Keep it up. Show this two face liar for what he really is.

Casas getting rich off the compadre system isn't too shady for you guys? how bout Saenz getting more back alley deals than Tony Soprano not shady enough for you guys? So lets roll with it fellas, EXPOSE EXPOSE EXPOSE ALL!!! or is enews just part-timers trying to rally there team vis a vis cheerleaders rousing there home team?

This was on another blog but would be a good start for E-News to explain Eddie's flip-flops:

This is what came out in the Texas Observer back in 2003 when Eddie Saenz was running against Pena for the first time.

The Texas Observer
www.texasobserver.org
Published on: 9/12/2003

As an Edinburg Chamber board member, Saenz can expect substantial support from the business community and some local officials who feel Peña didn't work hard enough to funnel legislative pork to the district.

Saenz is painting himself as the pro-business, consensus-building moderate who, following a Kino Flores-like approach, says he will work with the leadership to bring money to the district. "There needs to be more than just filing legislation and letting it sit there," Saenz said by phone from Edinburg. "I'm going to work with all the personalities that are up there." Saenz, like Flores, has come out in favor of Prop. 12.

Isn't this unbelievable? Saenz keeps on saying that Pena is too close to the leadership and this and that when he has said on the record that he would also work with the leadership to bring money to the district. What a pendejo!

Like them or hate them. E-News is pretty damn good if you ask me. Just look at all the junk they found on Mr. Pena. And here we thought Mr. Pena was a saint. Boy was I wrong about Carmen and now Aaron.

Are there T-Shirts to go with that mug-shot of Eddie Saenz? I bet they would sell like hotcakes at a Mothers Against Drunk Driving convention.

Is that the official Mission PD mug shot? Or a poor attempt at photoshop? Either way, Saenz looks a little bloated compared to his campaign signs.

Funny!!!

The theme song is right on. Eddie does look a bit like Scar in the mugshot photo. I have to confess that here in Mission that mugshot has been floating around the P.D. ever since Saenz started attacking one of our local officers who was simply following orders from a political figure. Here at the station we don't appreciate a different standard for the connected and powerful and one of our own taking a fall.

I have to agree that E-News looks as though it is just anonymous electronic mudslinging. Most of what they say is fact mixed with innuendo and spun to attack. The site does not allow debate. I don't think that they have exposed anything.

The misleading information of a Mexico drug arrest, the VERY ancient history of the divorce mess, and other things that so mean spirited that they border on the indecent. Is that what it is all about.

PR is right, if they are such public interest there are other things and approaches they can take.

As of late the site is dedicated to the Pena - Saenz campaign. I guess it is apparent from my other posts that I think that the subject of that race has been beat to death as there are no issues that I have seen on any blog.

To me Scar is really Kelly Fero. You can say that Eddie Saenz and his group are the hyenas....vacant expressions and all.

11:43,

A debate would be great. If there is a debate, I would not be involved in it due to a conflict of interest. I work for the incumbent. I personally believe I could be fair to both candidates, but the political climate is such that I would be criticized regardless of the result.

If my boss were to win, I'd be criticized for stacking the deck. If my boss came out lacking, I'd be criticized for not helping him out. I would merely serve as cannon fodder; in lieu of real issues, I'd be made an issue.

There is nothing preventing you, Anonymous 11:43, from organizing such a debate. You would do the public a great service. It is through public forums that the public is able to see into the hearts and minds of candidates.

If you decide to organize a debate, I congratulate you. I'll dig up some audio of debates from last election cycle at UTPA.

Maybe ya'll could get MADD and Mujeres Unidas to co-sponsor the debate so there would be no conflict of interest...give me a break

If you work for Pena, why not propose a debate? Has it been considered?

I think MADD and Mujeres Unidas focus more on helping people and try to stay out of politics. Your choice of organizations is interesting; you are funny. I was thinking more like the Young Democrats or the local media.

I'll repeat what I told Anonymous, there is nothing preventing you from organizing the event and inviting the candidates. The more independent the event is from the campaigns, the better it is for everybody. Nobody wants to go to an event in which the deck is loaded against them.

Have a great Sunday. Keep in touch.

Shaine and Dac,

Heres a few groups that will help holding a debate for the Dist.40.

UTPA's Political Science Dept.
The Political Science Association.

UTPA's The Masters in Public Administration.

UTPA's Young Democrats.

or Just calling a Political Science Professor and asking for rm 101 which is usually a make shift auditorium like room used for debates between candidates within the community.

Now the question is, which candidate will fail to comply with participating in such debate?

Blogger DAC said...

Sorry if my comment was a little too cynical, but I am glad that the humor was not lost. My point was, why hasn't one of the candidates made the challenge. I am sure the groups will come out of the woodwork to sponsor if there is a candidate that will make the challenge. Whether the other accepts is a different matter. It does not have to be proposed by a independent group only the ground rules and the moderators need to be independent, not the challenge. BBs or Coconuts fellas.

I am curious. You said you had audio from last elections debate. I am sure that they last go around had just as much mud being slung. Was there much substance to those debates or did it turn into what we are reading on the blogs? So far I have not heard much. What does the public get from the debate?

I have the debates on audio of Arnie vs Eddie III vs David, JD Salinas vs Ramon Garcia, and the race for DA. You can listen to the first on RGV Life. I'm looking for the others.

I'd have to listen again, I don't remember what the debates covered.
